The Wodonga woman, 52, took part in a free trial at Wodonga Chinese Medicine Clinic in October 2015.
She had four treatments over as many weeks.
“It worked pretty quickly after the first treatment,” she said.
“I really didn’t have any hay fever for the remainder of the season; I could feel my sinuses draining.”
Having moved to the Border from Western Australia 14 years ago, Ms van den Berg said she had relied on antihistamine and even a face mask in recent years.
Chinese Medicine physician James Liu treated 100 people at his Wodonga clinic in 2015, using an acupuncture point that had proved to cure or lessen the symptoms of hay fever, rhinitis and sinusitis for some.
He plans to run the trial over three years.
The trial will be held at the Huon Street clinic on October 1, 8 and 15, 8am to 2pm. Bookings essential, phone (02) 6056 1345.
