Wodonga Historical Society will host an open day on Sunday and every Wednesday of the month from 1pm at their rooms on South Street.
Research the city’s history, or relive memories in photographs, scrapbooks and historic items on display.
Meanwhile, Wodonga Sports and Leisure Centre will host aqua movers lessons in the water on every Monday.
The program is designed for older adults with slower tempo music and easy to follow moves, and it provides a great chance to catch up with friends in the pool.
There will be zumba at Junction Square on October 8 from noon until 12.30pm.
It's a fitness course which involves a combination of dance and aerobic elements, with no previous experience required.

Following this, there will be a soiree with Dame Nellie Melba at Wodonga Bowling Club on October 20 from 10am.
Enjoy the beautiful voice and elegance of Dame Nellie (performed by soprano Sheila Brennan) as she regales the crowd with her music and humorous stories of her life, accompanied by pianist Josie Parsons, harpist Christine Middleton and MC bush poet Tim Sheed.

Indigo Shire has a range of free events, including a film screening at Yackandandah Public Hall of The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel on Monday from 10.30am, with morning tea provided.
On Thursday, classic silent film Steamboat Bill Jr will be screened at Chiltern Memorial Hall from 2pm.
An entertaining guided tour of the Burke Museum in Beechworth will take place on October 11 at 11am, with no bookings required.

Libraries will host free workshops learning about TROVE, a huge online repository of resources from the National Library of Australia.
They will be on October 18 at Rutherglen Library from 10.30am and October 19 at 1pm at Chiltern LIbrary.
To enjoy the festival with the little ones, there will also be grandparents’ story time at Yackandandah library on October 20 from 9.30am and Beechworth library on October 28 from 10.30am.
Grandparents or a special older person are invited to join in sharing stories, songs, craft and morning tea at the library.
