The Alpine@Home community care service manager, Nationals member and regular at Indigo meetings was one of 17 nominees in next month’s elections.
“We need to listen to people about what they need,” he said.
“We can’t keep going the way we’ve been going … you have to look inside your own house first for where you make those efficiencies.”
Mr Cross said the municipality was behind when it came to creating a transport plan for the Barnawartha area, in the wake of the Logic hub opening up nearby.
“In the end the communities need to own the solution, not just be told,” he said.
