Maher took over from Corey Lambert midway through the season and guided the club into its first preliminary final.
“Josh did a good job when he stepped up,” club president Ted Miller said.
The former Albury premiership player took out the Magpies’ best and fairest with 61 votes from Jesse Johnston on 51.
Shannon Gilson (40) and Hayden Edwards (25) rounded out the top four.
In the reserves, Ben Lawrence was successful from Clint Brown, Darnell Taylor won the thirds and Rhys Pretious took out the fourths.
Maddi Lloyd won the A grade netball, Gabby Bartel took out B grade, Ava Masterson was victorious in C grade and Tierre Williams triumphed in C reserve.
Brittany Anderson, Zali Mainwaring and Jacklyn Ronan won the under 16, 14 and 12 best and fairests.
CDHBU, Henty and Jindera are on the look-out for senior coaches.
