Cameron White has racked up an unbeaten record over the past 15 years.
Racquetball is a derivation of squash, where Heather McKay went 19 years undefeated.
However, Australian Racquetball believes White has never been more vulnerable.
“Cameron joined the Metropolitan Fire Brigade, and this will be his first event for the year due to work commitments,” Paul Vear said.
“The number two seed is Jason Nudge from South Australia and the only time he has lost was to Cameron in their only meeting in the 2014 Australian Open.”
Meanwhile, World Squash Hall of Famer Sarah Fitz-Gerald is unbeaten over seven years.
Fitz-Gerald and White are also ambassadors for the championships.
Albury’s Commercial Club will host the three-day titles, starting Friday.
There is a record field of 235 entries, with around half of those from the Border.
