POLICE are trying to track down a Wangaratta man who failed to appear in court following a drive-by shooting.

Kyle Batten, 27, had been due to appear before the Wangaratta Magistrate's Court last Thursday following the shooting in June.
A single shotgun round was fired into the side of a car in Roy Street about 3.45am on June 8.
Nearby residents reported hearing a loud bang as the gun discharged.
Crime scene officers later attended the scene and examined the damaged vehicle.
Batten failed to show up to court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
He has a count of reckless conduct endangering life pending and was recently seen riding a black motorbike with no number plates in Wangaratta.
Sergeant Peter McGuffie said he had relatives in the Benalla and Yundool regions.
“Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers or Triple-0 if they see him,” he said.
Batten is 183 centimetres tall, of medium build with a fair complexion, light brown hair, a crew cut and blue eyes.
He also has several tattoos on his arms.
