THE 2016 season has already been a productive one for Albury City.

The senior women's team won a Cup final, the senior men were runners-up, and a number of other grades added silverware to the cabinet at Jelbart Park.

But their season isn't quite over – not until this Sunday.

City's under-17 girls team is playing in the final of the Football NSW Champion of Champions competition, travelling to Sydney to take on South Coast steam Albion Park.

With no under-17s competition at this level, the team has stepped up into the under-18s, with tremendous results.

“These girls work incredibly hard, and the chance to go to Sydney and play in a game like this is a fantastic reward for them,” coach Steve Kusic said.

“They're committed to their football, they're playing off against teams that are linked with A-League and NPL sides.

“They play for each other, they're very committed.”
