The association will play entirely one-dayers for the first time.
“All our representative cricket is one-day, so there’s now a correlation between rep and club cricket,” HDCA secretary Stephen Bennett said.
But not every player agrees.

“I’m a bit old-school in that I like the two dayers, but it’s a sign of the times,” Osborne’s Darren Howard said.
The HDCA has played a mixture of one and two dayers.
Osborne’s hopes of claiming the premiership have received a blow with the departure of the talented Perryman siblings, although Harry will play the first month before he’s expected to be drafted.
However, the club has picked up another family connection in former East Albury first-grader Dean Glanvill and his son Oscar.
Osborne faces Culcairn in the season-opener.
The Rock Yerong Creek meets Holbrook in the other match, while premier Henty has the bye.
