The event will incorporate the Victorian Dinghy Championship, an aspect which has propelled the regatta into one of the top 10 sailing events in the country since its debut in 2014.
“After just three years, Sail Country has become one of the top 10 regattas by entry numbers in Australia,” club commodore Leanne Thomson said.
“We also attract a large youth component, kids as young as eight sail in the International Optimist class.
“We're aiming to offer a great sporting and social experience as these people are future visitors to our region.”
Athens and Beijing Olympics representative Sarah Blanck will host a two-day Laser class coaching camp across the weekend.
There will also be several social activities, including a Rutherglen win tour and live music at the club.
Racing is scheduled to commence, weather permitting, with a massed start from 1pm on Saturday.
