Sally Bulle played a dominant role for her side with Liz McCulloch and Gail McNeil claiming the lone set for Moscher.
Classy sets from Denise Sheil gave Hodges the edge against Byrne in section two.
Leonie Hodges, Jenny Latta and Sam Taggart also played well for the winners with Vicki Fletcher and Jenny Clark two-set winners for Byrne.
Sarah Adams led her team to a straightforward win over Sowden.
Liz O’Grady, Wendy Howard and Anthea Dunlop gave excellent back up with Jeanette Belcher and Kirsty Marchant claiming a set for Sowden.
Barber was never threatened in its comprehensive defeat of Molesworth.
In section three, Gillian Dwerryhouse and Judy Musgrove remained unbeaten in Huckstepp’s triumph over Lee.
Suzie Finlay and Brenda Huckstepp also played well with Pat Johnson and Enid Antone taking the third rubber for Lee.
Jones had the better of two close sets before running away with a straightforward win over Cannon.
The players returned to the hard courts for the day, with a major schools’ tournament on the grass.
Sixty-four players contested the ladies’ event, from the 16 teams.
The competition has another month to run until breaking for the Christmas period after December 13.
The season follows the NSW school holiday program, and will therefore resume in late January
Meanwhile, Wodonga’s Sportspower meet was washed out on Sunday.
It’s now been rescheduled for Sunday, November 27.
It’s $15 per player, and caters for players from eight and under, through to 16 and under.
