Raids on seven properties in total – five in Wangaratta, a rural property near Wangaratta and one in Melbourne – resulted in the seizure of ice, MDMA, heroin, a pen pistol and what appeared to be the drug GHB, police said.
Wangaratta Senior Sergeant Garry Barton said the raids came as a result of a small amount of information that was provided to police.
It is believed the operation executed on Wednesday followed a police investigation spanning nearly a year.
Police will allege those involved in the group trafficked more than 30 ounces of ice over the past three months.
Senior Sergeant Barton encouraged anyone with information about drug activity to come forward.
More details to come.
