Most are being caught on either yabbies or worms but the trick is to keep your bait moving.
If you simply bait up, throw your line in, and sit back, you decrease your chances dramatically.
They tell me the trick is to twitch your bait in, just 100mm or so, every 15 seconds to a minute, which they assure me makes a huge difference.
Well worth a try. Had another report from a customer about the reddies too.
He kept 15 of a large number he landed, while angling worms at a tree in about seven metres of water.
While that’s not a monster bag of reddies, it’s the best I’ve heard of for a while so who knows, there’s still hope.
