A YOUNG driver is off the road after having her car impounded.
Police detected the woman travelling at 150km/h on the Hume Highway at Bowser on Thursday afternoon.
The 19-year-old Wangaratta resident had her car impounded and is likely to have her licence suspended for at least six months.
Leading Senior Constable Gavin Frew said there were expensive fines for such behaviour, along with a court appearance.
“It's a shame you can't legislate common sense,” he said.
