Ashley Hall has entered the $25,000 event, a week after pushing world No. 5 Jordan Spieth in a playoff at Royal Sydney.
“Ashley is a very good player and to have someone of his calibre is great for the event,” tournament coordinator Cameron Davies said.
“He won the Victorian PGA earlier this year and the year before he lost in two playoffs on the web.com tour.
“It’s a funny thing in pro-am’s, you can get the likes of a Marc Leishman or a Robert Allenby playing in them.”
Hall finished the Australian Open on 12-under par, before last year’s Masters and US Open champion Spieth landed a clutch putt on the first playoff hole.
Meanwhile, former European Tour member Matthew Millar will also play on December 14.
Millar claimed his first professional win in the New Zealand PGA Championship last year.
