That included obvious deals on his mobile phone, cash and quantities of cannabis and methamphetamine.
Adam Peter Paul Wright now will face sentence in the District Court early next year after pleading guilty to several drugs charges.
He made a brief appearance in Albury Local Court this week over the matters.
A Director of Public Prosecutions representative withdrew a more serious charge of supplying a commercial quantity of cannabis.
Wright then pleaded guilty to counts of supply a prohibited drug (not cannabis – totalling 31.5 grams), supply a small quantity of a prohibited drug, three counts of possess a prohibited drug and deal with property suspected to be the proceeds of crime.
The 24-year-old will be sentenced in the District Court at the sittings scheduled to begin in Albury on February 20.
Magistrate Tony Murray was told that police became aware of Wright – who was from Corowa, but had no permanent address – when they instigated Strike Force Hurford in February.
Albury police established the task force to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in the Albury and Corowa area.
They executed a search warrant on a house in Henry Street, Corowa, on April 19.
It was discovered that Wright was in a shed in the backyard.
Police searched him and found he was carrying $510 in cash and a mobile phone.
They said Wright admitted the cash was the proceeds of selling drugs.
Police then examined the phone, which revealed further evidence of drug dealing.
Wright told police they could find a bag of cannabis – the drug weighing in at 5.38 grams – under a cushion in the lounge room.
He was immediately arrested. A further search of the lounge room led to police finding a sunglasses case, which contained another 8.9 grams of cannabis.
Also in the case was four resealable bags containing 6.1 grams of methamphetamine. A brief case in the shed contained resealable bags and aluminium foil.
