Murray Youth Performing Arts (MYPA) will perform the adaptation for its annual concert on Saturday afternoon.
MYPA director Libby Ellis said they had taken the traditional story and given it a few twists and turns.
“We’ve changed Jan to Jana and added a few characters along the way to make Jana and Gerda’s journey even more interesting,” she said.
Grace Clayton will be the Ice Queen, Laura McCormack is Jana and Juliet Whyte is Gerda.
Mrs Ellis said the production featured classical ballet, jazz, contemporary, musical theatre and highland dancing.
She said 120 students, ranging in age from 2 to 75, were involved.
“It’s a very inclusive concert,” she said.
The Ice Queen will be performed at the Albury Entertainment Centre at 2pm.
Tickets are available at the door.
