Chairman of selectors Kelvin White said region selector Michael Erdeljac was unable to put forward any names.
It is believed several players ruled themselves out due to time and work commitments.
“We are disappointed because we have had a close association with Region 6 over the years,” White said.
“I would like to encourage players because we know there are some great cricketers in the region.
“We had nominations from all other regions this year.”
East Albury’s James McNeil is the last Region 6 player to make the Victoria Country side.
St Patrick’s fast bowler Jarryd Hatton was selected in the NSW Country side last week.
Each side must have two under-23 players.
