Murray Conservatorium’s Grade-a-thon Showcase Concert will be held on Saturday at Mirambeena Community Centre at Lavington.
Murray Conservatorium general manager Jenny O’Hara said the concert was the culmination of the annual fundraiser.
She said this year the public was invited to join staff in learning a new instrument.
“We have about 100 performers this year including about 15 staff,” she said.
“It will be good fun and a nice way to end the year.”
Ms O’Hara said the public had joined free workshops to learn the tin whistle, Bodhran (Irish drum), ukulele and contemporary choral.
She said staff had embraced the concept and donated their time too.
Money raised from the Grade-a-thon goes to the Centre Against Violence's K9 Project, which trains dogs for refuges or counselling centres.
The concert starts at 2pm. Tickets are $20 adult, $15 concession or by donation.
