The Little Jetstars competition is in its third year and is offering five lucky entrants from Victoria’s northern region, including Wodonga and Mount Beauty, a chance to meet the AFL talent.
Having participated in Little Athletics growing up, Johannisen is part of an elite group of Australian athletes who have been chosen to lead the charge at training sessions all over the country.
Johannisen said he is excited to be involved in the program, which will give him the chance back to his grassroots where it all began.
“Little Athletics holds very fond memories for me and is such a great start for any kid who loves sport,” Johannisen said.

“I had a lot of fun in my Little Athletics days and it was a great excuse to stay healthy and get involved in the community from a young age.
“I’m really excited to be part of the Little Jetstars program and can’t wait to have a run around with the kids.”
Winners of the training sessions will be announced monthly through to March.
