“This is a very serious offence,” magistrate Tony Murray told Amber Louise Segelow in Albury Local Court on Tuesday.
He warned Segelow to undergo an assessment for a pre-sentence report, otherwise the consequences for her could be dire.
“Make sure you get the report done ma’am,” Mr Murray said.
“Your behaviour is disgraceful.
“You’re at considerable risk of going to jail for this.”
The court was told of how Segelow, who also bit one officer, resisted so violently that police were forced to use capsicum spray to try to calm her down.
But this had no impact as Segelow eventually had to be brought to the ground to get her under control enough to put her in the back of a police caged vehicle.
Segelow pleaded guilty to charges of excluded person remain in the vicinity of licensed premises, two counts of assaulting police and one of resisting arrest.
The incident that led to Segelow’s arrest took place at Albury’s Zed Bar in Dean Street on the afternoon of November 13.
Police went to the pub about 1.40pm for a routine licensed premises inspection.
As they approached they saw Segelow trying to push through security guards to get into the bar via an entrance that had been closed-off.
The drunken 24-year-old was giving an official “move-on direction” by police that she immediately obeyed.
Shortly after that the police assisted security to eject a man who wrestled with them as he resisted arrest.
Segelow then got involved, approaching one of the officers from behind.
“The accused has then dropped her right shoulder and punched (this officer) to the back of the head,” police told the court.
“He had no way to defend himself and was completely blindsided by the assault.”
The other officer took hold of Segelow, who resisted arrested by “thrashing her body about” in an attempt to break free of his grip.
Police had to take her to the ground as she continued to resist arrest, which included her biting one officer on the arm.
“The accused began kicking (the second officer) to the body in an attempt to break free.”
Her behaviour was “extremely violent, aggressive” and “appalling”.
Segelow will be sentenced on February 15.
