The Stars start their season against Sydney Thunder in Sydney on Saturday night, before facing the same foe in the historic regional match at the Lavington Oval three days later.
The Thunder claimed last year’s inaugural title, while the Stars finished fifth.
The club lost three games in the final over, costing it a finals’ berth.
“Our performance didn’t reflect where we finished,” Triscari said.
“This year is about taking those moments, when it gets down to the nitty-gritty in matches, winning those contests.”
The Stars boast world record-holder Meg Lanning, who posted her ninth ODI century against South Africa last month.
But the Thunder also boasts internationals, including captain Alex Blackwell.
