Beck, a member of the Australian women’s rugby sevens team which triumphed at the Rio Olympic Games, was the special guest of a “Game On” clinic run by ARU.
The school was one of just eight nationwide to host a visit.
“I love the grassroots stuff. It’s my favourite thing to get out and do, not just to promote rugby, but to promote sport and a healthy lifestyle in general,” Beck said.
The 28-year-old had a very diverse sporting background, with touch football her main game, and, incredibly, didn’t start playing rugby sevens until the age of 20.
She is currently pregnant with her second child and taking an extended break, but hopes to be back in contention for selection for the Commonwealth Games squad in 2018.
Beck also attended the final session of the Albury Viva7s at Waites Park on Thursday night.
