There has been a groundswell of support for his Thurgoona mum Elenor Tedenborg, 45, who was diagnosed with breast cancer about two weeks ago.
Eli was delivered prematurely at 36 weeks by caesarean section in Wodonga, weighing 3.37kg.
Ms Tedenborg’s partner Simon Bayliss said the couple was blessed with a healthy baby boy.
“We’re enjoying Eli before we focus on Elenor starting treatment,” he said.
A community fundraiser Elenor’s Courage Silent Auction will be held on Thursday at Kinross Woolshed from 6.30pm. People can also bid at Elenor’s Courage (Facebook) for the donated goods.
