A woman who struck and killed a pedestrian north of Bendigo in August has pleaded guilty to three charges and will be sentenced in the new year.

Bendigo resident Taylah Hocking, 19, pleaded guilty in the Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday to driving in a manner dangerous, failing to stop after an accident in which a person was killed, and failing to render assistance.
The charges stem from the hit-and-run death of 45-year-old Wodonga woman Tracey-Lee Kemp on the Midland Highway about 3am on Sunday, August 14.
Hocking was committed to a plea hearing at the Bendigo County Court in February, to be followed by a sentencing hearing.
She remains on bail at her North Bendigo address, but must only report to the police station once a week – down from her previous conditions of three times a week.
Hocking must surrender her passport and cannot contact witnesses, apart from her family.
She was once again supported in court by a large group of family and friends.
