The 15-year-old made an impressive 88 runs in the side’s comfortable win over Culcairn last week – his highest score in the top grade.
Henty hopes it could be the start of good patch of form for the youngster.
Club veteran Mark White said it was a “super-impressive” innings.
“He batted really well and he’s leading our runs,” White said.
“He started off patiently and then started to clear the infield.
“We might lose him to footy commitments later in the year because he is a gun footballer as well.”
Henty will play its final game of 2016 on Saturday against Holbrook, before the competition breaks until January 7.
They are likely to be without star bowler Chris Manns who finished with figures of 3-18 last weekend, while Grant Gardner has also missed a large chunk of the season.
“We’ve had arguably our two best players missing all season,” White said.
“Our best cricket will be good enough, but we’re pretty pleased with where we are sitting so far considering everything.”
Despite claiming a 54-run victory in their last meeting with Holbrook, White knows they can’t take them lightly.
“They’ve got a couple of good batsman and if they get going we could be in a bit of trouble,” he said.
Standouts TRYC and Osborne will meet in the weekend’s other game.
Osborne are undefeated largely thanks to the blistering season from opening batsman Luke Richardson, who leads the competition’s batting with 407 runs.
Culcairn starts its break early with the bye.
