The centre – currently home to 92 kangaroos, three koalas and 10 wombats – has launched its annual fundraising appeal.
Volunteer Chris Lehmann said $14,000 was needed for food, medical costs and new rainwater tanks.
“Every dollar the public gives goes direct to the animals because all staff work for free,” he said.
“A single joey costs about $2000 over its lifetime from being rescued to being released into the bush,” he said.
“It’s a giving time of the year – we live and die by the generosity of the public.”
