The boom that kicked off the A-League season appeared to be too good to be true. After record crowds, attendances dropped. A positive start stuttered with the arrival of other summer sports, but as football fans are starting to fear the arrival of a mid-season lull that plagued previous years, there's a sense of good fortune behind the usual ominous signs – the A-League is threatening to become a TV sport.
