It was the only NSW establishment on the Border to gain an Australian Good Food and Travel Guide NSW 2017 Restaurant Award this week.
Border Wine Room owner for 18 months Kate Murray said the accolades were a welcome start to the new year.
Ms Murray said the award recognised service through to the culinary experience of taste, texture and menu creativity.
“In 2017 we want to focus on highlighting local produce and maintaining a consistent level of product and service,” she said.
Head chef Gary Brogdale will prepare a Local Producers Dinner on Friday.
The 2017 Restaurant Award winners in the North East were Provenance (Beechworth), Simones Restaurant (Bright), The Terrace Restaurant (Wahgunyah), Patricia’s Table (Milawa), Tani Eat and Drink (Bright) and Mountain View Dining Lounge (Whitfield).
