The event takes a different approach to most triathlons, with athletes completing the 18-kilometre bike leg first, before diving in for a 300-metre swim and finishing with a five-kilometre run to the line.
Corowa Swimming Club president Jo Ryland said most of the entries come in on the morning of the event to complete what should be another solid field.
“It’s a big volunteer effort and helpers who aren’t with the club always get involved,” Ryland said.
“It’s a great community day.
“The event also couldn’t run without the help of our many sponsors.”
The ride commences in Reisling Street at 9am and winds its way to Redlands Road, before returning on the same route to the pool for six laps of swimming.
The run leg crosses in front of the Civic Centre and the circuit finishes back in front of the building’s entrance.
