Marnie Winnell appeared in Wodonga court this week after the offences last year.
Winnell had been driving with her child in the back seat of her car on Pearce Street on August 1.
Police pulled over her vehicle about 3.45pm.
She was unable to produce her licence, and checks showed it was suspended.
A breath test was negative, but Winnell tested positive to drugs.
She was taken back to the police station and a further analysis showed the presence of both methamphetamine and cannabis.
She was questioned and said she had taken ice “the night before last”.
That had followed an incident on Anzac Day where she was driving on Victoria Cross Parade, near Anzac Parade.
Police pulled the chef and restaurant manager’s car over about 5pm.
She tested positive to meth and a further test again showed the drug in her system.
She told officers she didn’t realise it would show up in her system.
Winnell is required to undergo drug screening and is being monitored. Her defence argued she was no longer using ice or cannabis.
Magistrate Stella Stuthridge cancelled and disqualified the 38-year-old’s licence for six months.
The magistrate also placed her on a good behaviour bond until December.
