Crawshaw hit 100 with 10 boundaries against ladder leader Wodonga.
“I just think going back to the top of the order (made a difference),” he said.
“(Captain) Kane (Arendarcikas) said I want you to bat for as long as you can and build an innings, that probably suits my game.”
He combined with fellow opener Nick Flood, who blasted four 6s in making 52.
The Patties could well need to win their last four games to have any hopes of playing finals, and their total of 260 should be competitive.
Jack Craig bowled pace in his first spell and later returned to bowl spin, his four wickets coming in that stint.
Elsewhere, Lavington will resume on 4-43, chasing East Albury’s moderate 143.
Lavington’s Ryan Brown claimed 5-33, but Cameron White replied with 4-16.
Albury posted 149 against North Albury, which is 1-19.
And Wodonga Raiders scored 159, with New City 3-39.
