Xiawen Shen, 45, did not speak in Albury Local Court on Tuesday, and sat with his hands crossed.
He is accused of rubbing the woman’s genitals through her underwear at Royal Hands Chinese Massage in West End Plaza on January 7.
The woman, 27, complained to police and Shen was arrested by detectives at the business later that day.
Magistrate Erin Kennedy heard he will require a Chinese interpreter during his next court appearance.
He has been charged with assault with act of indecency and has been banned from giving massages while on bail.
Shen was supported by friends or family members during Tuesday's brief appearance, which lasted only about a minute.
He will next front the Albury court on January 31.
Police encourage other alleged victims to come forward.
