Figures from the 2016 Australian Donation and Transplantation Activity Report revealed Victorians comprised 28 per cent of the total donor pool, as well as an 11 per cent increase on the number of donors compared to 2015.
There were 1448 organ transplants across Australia from 503 organ donors, for a total of 406 lives saved that were through organ donation.
