Organiser Caitlin Keogh had initially hoped to reach $6000 in donations for the Wodonga boy, but had raised $10,779 by Wednesday morning.
Individuals and businesses have made donations of up to $800, with many leaving heartfelt tributes to Tristan.
There has been an outpouring of grief since his death.
A minute’s silence was held for Tristan at the Urana Road Oval in Lavington on Saturday before the cricket match between Wodonga Raiders and New City.
His funeral will be held at the Lester and Son Chapel on Thomas Mitchell Drive on Monday.
The service will start at 10.30am.
It will be followed by a private cremation.
