The leagues will lock horns at the Bulldogs’ home ground on May 13.
Yarrawonga’s J.C. Lowe Oval had been floated as a venue due to its proximity to the Goulburn Valley but the Ovens and Murray’s fierce rivals will now have to travel further despite being ranked higher.
“There’s a range of factors the league considers in determining the host venue and we’re spoilt for choice with the grounds and facilities across the league,” Ovens and Murray general manager Sean Barrett said
“Martin Park ticked a lot of the boxes and we’re looking forward to hosting the Goulburn Valley in May”.
Former Wangaratta Rovers mentor Paul Maher will take the reins of the junior squad for a second term.
