With the Phoenix locked in a tense battle with Wodonga Raiders for the wooden spoon, Langlands stepped up with a match-winning 72 not out as the home team chased down 159 to secure victory.
Coach Nick McDonald said the innings was full of character.
“He did exactly what I asked of him,” McDonald said.
“He was patient and built a really good innings.
“He batted for nearly 70 overs and got us over the line.
“Angus Kilby made 40 as well which was great.”
The Phoenix play ladder leader North Albury at Urana Road Oval on Saturday and will be chasing a third win.
“I would like to finish the year on a positive note,” McDonald said.
“It’s been building off the ground and we are just starting to see the on-field stuff come together as well.”
