Artist David Dunn is developing the mural in Pearce Street under the theme Connecting, Embracing and Respecting Community.
Friends of Willow Park will host a community storytelling event on February 5 to coincide with the completion of the mural.
Wodonga Council has funded the community mural and storytelling event under the Community Impact Grant program.
Friends of Willow Park president Karen Stacey said the community mural was still evolving.
“It’s developing more and more as David meets people going past where he’s working on it,” she said.
“It represents the young and the old and the whole diversity of Wodonga.”
Dunn will talk about the artwork on February 5 before people are welcome to stay for a barbecue.
Meet at the new mural on the Pearce Street footbridge over House Creek.
Everyone is welcome from 6pm.
