Morgan, a veteran of the US entertainment industry, says he has seen teenagers wanting to buy CDs of the music after watching Oh What A Night, the tribute show to the US music Hall Of Fame performers.
“My daughter is 22 and she says ‘dad what are they going to play in 50 years from my generation?’ And I have no idea,” Morgan says.
Oh What A Night returns to Australia during February and March and will perform at The Cube Wodonga on Thursday, March 7.
The ever-popular show has played every state and territory in Australia and have sold out more than 100 shows.
Morgan is part of a talented group of performers – writer George Solomon, Paul Holmquist, James Bullard and Morgan – who look, act and sound just as amazing as Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons did so many years ago.
“I think it’s the unmistakable harmonies and then we’ve got lyrics that people can relate to,” Morgan says of the show’s success.
“This music is so relatable and it has that catch, that hook, and each one of them has it.
“The Four Seasons had 27 top 20 hits. You have to have a hook if somebody’s going to walk out of your show singing that song.”
The show includes 30 of The Four Seasons’ hits, with the singers presenting them note perfect, all taking it in turns to share the lead.
The songs span the two decades of The Four Seasons’ major hits, from early 1960s doo-wop pop to late 1970s disco, and include their first No.1 hit, Sherry, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Rag Doll, Walk Like a Man, Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, Who Loves You, Oh What a Night, Let’s Hang On, and the title song from the musical Grease that was a big hit for Frankie Valli.
