The section two clash between Byrne and Adams was an excellent contest, with the latter in the ascendancy with two stanzas to play.
Kerrie Smith, Vicki Fletcher, Leigh Byrne and Angela Quirk combined brilliantly late in the morning to force the draw for Byrne.

A dominant final set by Cecily McHarg and Carol Finlayson saw Webb over the line by just one game from Cannon in section three.
June Kent and Jill Shaddock lent a hand, while Shirley Friedrich, Jan Dihood and Juleen Cannon played well for the losers.
A solid team effort by Brenda Huckstepp, Gillian Dwerryhouse, Suzie Finlay and Judy Musgrove gave Huckstepp a four sets to two win over Jones.
