The 28-year-old strategic planner joined Albury-based Habitat Planning recently to work alongside directors Warwick Horsfall and David Hunter.
As part of his traineeship, Mr Johnson completed a bachelor urban and regional planning at the University of England at Armidale.
“This role will be a good opportunity to extend my work out to Wodonga, Wangaratta and other areas and not be restricted to just Albury,” he said.
“I also get to stay local which is a bonus.”
Mr Johnson has worked on masterplans for the Thurgoona-Wirlinga growth corridor and Albury and Lavington CBDs.
