The Goulburn Ovens Sedan Association ventured to Wangaratta for round one of the Ryan’s Refrigerated Transport Invitational, with Maclean showing he has no intention of relinquishing the number one position.
Maclean suffered a mechanical issue in heat one, but clawed his way back as the day went on to start second on the grid for the feature race final.
The series leader was quick out of the blocks when the green flag dropped and dipped into turn one in the best position, before turning up the heat at the front of the field.
Maclean remained in control and took the feature win from Clint Henderson and Chelsea Cornelius.
The final round of the event will be held when the class supports the Modified Sedans feature at Wangaratta Speedway on February 25.
