Albury and Pool Pirates met in both the men’s and women’s finals of the three-day event held at Waves in Wodonga.
After trailing by two goals for most of the contest, Albury produced a stunning comeback to win the men’s decider, 6-5.
Jack Baker found the back of the net late in the game to claim the title for Albury.
The same two clubs met in the women’s draw, with Pool Pirates winning it, 7-4, thanks to a standout display from Annie Lefoe.
The men’s MVP was shared between Sharks’ Taylor Miller, Albury’s Jake Lurhs and Bairnsdale-Surf Coast star Leshern Govender.
Bendigo’s Kate Bertwhistle won the women’s award.
The tournament also raised hundreds of dollars to assist Border water polo star Nick Dempsey’s recovery with an inaugural ‘polo pong’ event on Saturday night.
Bendigo will stage the 40th anniversary of the event next year, with top past players to feature in a ‘legends match’.
