Speaking to Parliament, Mr Tilley said Indigo Council was keen to use a $2 million federal government grant as soon as possible to investigate the best route for the bypass.
“Constituents in Rutherglen and visitors to the area are concerned for their safety when getting in and out of their cars,” he said.
The minister has been called to make a response and help avoid any delays.
