Detective Senior Constable Justin Schulze said the arrest was made about 2.30am.

“A search warrant was executed at a motel in Wangaratta and as a result of that, a 40-year-old male was arrested after a quantity of amphetamines and cash was located,” he said.

“He has been remanded in custody to appear at Wangaratta magistrates court today.”

Approximately 15 grams of the drug was seized by police.

The man was believed to be living at the motel.
