Wangaratta has signed former North Melbourne player Ben Speight. The 26-year-old put pen to paper with the Magpies on Thursday and will form a key part of new coach Dean Stone’s plans to guide the club back into the finals for the first time since 2011. Originally from Norwood in South Australia, Speight played 10 matches and kicked seven goals for the Kangaroos before being delisted at the end of the 2012 season.
