The workshop, which starts at 9am, will visit a soil pit at the McInnes family property, off Robinson Road, Boorhaman.
The session will discuss soil moisture results from the probes, the impact of soil type on water movement, and where the nitrogen went last growing season.
After the on-farm visit the group will head to the Boorhaman hall for a discussion about last year’s growing season and also how this might affect nitrogen strategies for this coming growing season.
Yield Prophet, a decision-support tool that can help farmers achieve more from land with limited resources, will also be discussed.
The day is free but RSVPs are requested for catering purposes and can be emailed to info@riverineplains.com.au or phone (03) 5744 1713.
