The 10-year-old was recently the first to receive the red belt, the highest achievement in his Little Ninja class.
The class teaches a combination of trampolining and acrobatics.
Owen just loves being on the trampoline.
“When you jump you feel like you’re flying. It’s really cool. It’s fun learning all the different tricks,” he said.
To qualify for the red belt, students must be able to do certain types of stunts on the trampoline.
Initially self taught, Owen has been attending classes for about two years.
The achievement came as no surprise to his proud mother, Traci Robinson.
“He just has no fear,” she said.
John Bussell, his teacher at FlipOut is equally proud.
“He has so much talent that most of our ‘teaching’ is just encouraging him to push the envelope a little further and to refine his technique,” he said.
“We’re extremely proud of Owen for his hard work and dedication.”
