Starring Matt Lane as Macbeth and John Parry as Macduff, Macbeth is the fourth annual Shakespeare in the Gardens event for the award-winning amateur theatre company.
The play will be staged among the Albury Botanic Gardens at 8pm over the first two Fridays and Saturdays in March (March 3, 4, 10, 11).
“The whole cast is working enthusiastically to create this modern version of Macbeth, which is a big shift from the Shakespearian comedies that The Other Theatre Company has delivered over the past three years,” said director Tanya Harvey, who also plays lady Macbeth.
“This production may be different, but audiences will be wowed by our trio of witches, the intense battle scenes and how quickly his guilt sees Macbeth descends into madness.”
Audiences are encouraged to bring their own picnic and chairs.
