Member for Farrer Sussan Ley joined technicians to mark the start of work.
"To see NBN fixed line broadband being rolled out is very exciting,” Ms Ley said.
“It will really complement the fixed wireless and Sky Muster (satellite) services already available, each of which really does switch Corowa on to 21st century technology."
The broadband network is expected to go live at Corowa in September following the completion of installation works.
Fixed wireless technology is already available to 500 residents and businesses on the edge of Corowa.
Federation Council administrator Mike Eden thinks the NBN will see Corowa attract new business.
