Twin City Wanderers soccer club and the Murray Cray’s over 35s football club will meet at Les Cheesley Oval.
And like so many unique ideas, it came about after a few beers.
“It certainly did,” coordinator Greg Young said.
“We were back celebrating after one of our games, Harry (Wilhelm) and them happened to be talking and we thought, ‘should we stay, or kick on’, never know when to go home, one of those sorts of things.
“We just got talking and one thing led to another, we had spoken previously about trying to get the two clubs together on different ideas and then this came up.”
The match will raise funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital annual appeal.

There’s a host of activities planned from 11am, including a visit by a fire truck and Easter Eggs for the children, as well as soccer and football-related drills.
The Gaelic football will be played with a soccer ball.
